Our Services

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital offers a wide range of state-of-the-art cardiac imaging services, including in-patient and out-patient transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, stress echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

We run several specialist cardiac imaging services including heart valve assessment, aortopathy assessment, sports cardiology, cardio-oncology, adult congenital heart disease and an inherited cardiac conditions service.

Our Echo Department holds advanced British Society of Echocardiography accreditation and our team of Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologists are experienced and competent in specialist echo techniques including 2D and 3D technology and global longitudinal strain which enable an in-depth, highly accurate assessment of heart structure and function.

We hold a weekly regional cardiac imaging meeting (MDT) for discussion of complex cases with expert input from cardiology and radiology specialists.
