Training

Training is available to all staff to help you find your way around the maze of electronic resources. Our training can be tailored to suit your individual needs or choose from one of the sessions below. An outreach service is also in operation so the Library Manager and training can come to you.

• The Library & Knowledge Service provides information skills training and bibliographic database searching via Evidence www.evidence.nhs.uk. Sessions can be booked in groups or on a one-to-one basis.
• Critical Appraisal - workshops are run on-site. These sessions are intended to raise awareness of the importance of critical appraisal and its responsibility as a basis of clinical decisions, and by doing so introduce the tools available to assist the process.
