Urgent and Emergency
Urgent and emergency intervention on the thoracoabdominal aorta has been the thrust of joint working between LHCH and LiVES over the last two decades. Many patients have benefited from the specialists skills from both specialities brought to bare to solve complex life threatening pathologies.
More recently this has been formalised through the Merseyside and Cheshire STP as an 'Acute Aortic Syndrome Pathway' called LANTAS (Liverpool Acute Network for Thoracic Aortic Services).
LANTAS is part of:
- Thoracic Aortic Services at LHCH.
- LiVES at RLUH, Aintree and Whiston.
- Liverpool Cardiovascular Surgery (LHCH and LiVES).
