LHCH cardiology going live
LHCH was delighted to feature in the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society’s (BCIS) flagship conference, Advanced Cardiovascular Intervention 2025, on Wednesday 30th January.
Two live cases from the LHCH Catheter Labs were streamed to a distinguished panel and audience in-person at the London Hilton Metropole Hotel.
LHCH Consultant Cardiologists, Dr Clare Appleby, Dr Kully Sandhu and Dr Joe Mills, and their team, were supported for the live TAVI in a bicuspid valve case by Dr Doug Fraser, Consultant Cardiologist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Whilst in the second live case, LHCH Consultant Cardiologists Dr Liam Mullen, Dr Joel Giblett and Dr John Hung, and their team, undertook a bifurcation PCI procedure.
LHCH colleagues, including cath lab staff, were thrilled to be able to watch the cases live from seminar rooms on site at LHCH and join the conference virtually.
Jeanette Broom, Cath Labs Directorate Manager, said: “It’s a huge privilege for our whole cath lab team at LHCH, to feature in such a prestigious national conference. It’s really rewarding to have the opportunity to provide colleagues across the country and the many experts in attendance, with a glimpse into the outstanding interventional cardiology care that we deliver on a daily basis.”
