LHCH Consultant Recognised in King’s Birthday Honours

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to share the wonderful news that Dr Helen Bonwick, Specialist Palliative Care Consultant and Medical Examiner here at LHCH, has been awarded an OBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for her services to palliative care.

As well as her role here at LHCH, Dr Bonwick is Chair for the Association for Palliative Medicine of Great Britain and Ireland, and also works across Marie Curie Hospice Liverpool and supports the University of Liverpool’s fourth-year medicine palliative placements by contributing to learning sessions, assessments and examinations.

Liz Bishop, Chief Executive spoke of this tremendous achievement:
