Patient and Family Centred Care Conference

A major conference examining the increasing importance of Patient and Family Centred Care in today’s NHS will take place at the Crowne Plaza, Liverpool on April 23rd.

The conference, organised by Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in association with the US-based Institute for Patient and Family Centered Care, will bring together Directors of Nursing, Deputy Directors of Nursing, Medical Directors, senior nurses and others involved in improving the patient experience.

After being named Provider Trust of the Year in the Health Service Journal Awards 2012 for this pioneering new approach, judges commented that Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital was “really reinventing the role of the hospital in the community for the NHS”.

With first hand accounts from patients, families and leading figures within the sector, this conference will discuss the work being undertaken at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and how patients have benefited from this innovative, new approach.
