Hope Mountain Hike 2013
Sunday 28th April 2013
We’re hoping that our 7th Annual Hope Mountain Hike will break all records for our hospital’s Appeal, by being the greatest Hike we’ve ever organised and, guess what? We’d love you to join us.
The event consists of a 10 mile sponsored walk through the picturesque Hope Mountain in Cymau, near Wrexham. Hope Mountain stands at 1080 feet, with 360 degree panoramas overlooking the Cheshire Plains, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Shropshire and the Wirral Coast.
The walk starts at 10.30 a.m. and usually takes around six hours. The duration is dependent on your own pace and there is no pressure to complete the walk in a specific time.
There is a half way stop for lunch and to end the day Alan Birchall, Voluntary Chairman of LHCH Appeal, kindly opens the doors of his beautiful home for you to sit back and relax after your Hike, enjoy a delicious BBQ, listen to some music with a free glass of wine or beer. An honesty box will be in place should you wish to have additional drinks.
The entry fee is £10.00 which includes the BBQ and commemorative certificate, plus, if you manage to raise the minimum amount of sponsorship i.e. £50 then your entry fee will be deducted. Transport will be provided from Liverpool to Cymau and return at a small charge.
Why not brush the cobwebs off your walking boots and join us. Taking part is easy, simply complete the attached registration form/disclaimer and return with your £10 entry fee to the Appeal Office. Sponsorship forms and detailed information are also available on our website or you can call the Appeal Office on 0151 600 1409.
