Opportunity to become a Governor at LHCH
We are currently running an election to find one Public Governor for the Cheshire Constituency.
As an ‘Outstanding’ rated (Care Quality Commission 2016 and 2019) specialist heart and chest hospital, our ambition is 'to be the best - leading and delivering outstanding heart and chest care and research'. By becoming a Governor you could help us achieve this ambition, shape the future of our hospital and have a voice by representing the views of our members and the public.
To stand for election as a Governor you will need to:
- Be able to spare a minimum of three hours to attend quarterly Council of Governors meetings and also enable time to prepare for these. Ideally, you would be able to offer more so you can attend informal governor meetings, participate in sub committees, undertake training and development or support membership recruitment and engagement.
- Have interpersonal skills including an enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute.
- Have basic IT skills, access to email and ability to attend virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams.
- Have some business skills including the ability to read and scrutinise performance reports. Experience of human resources, finance or chairing meetings would be beneficial but are not essential as support and training would be given as required.
