Liverpedlians
I am raising money for Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Appeal to give something back to this wonderful hospital for the way they have changed my life.
In 1987 I had a new heart valve fitted to replace a faulty one - commonly known as a hole in the heart.
By 2007 this new valve had worn out so LHCH fitted a new mechanical heart valve for me which has given me a new lease of life.
I am extremely grateful to all of the staff at the hospital who looked after me so well because I am now very fit and active and enjoy playing cricket and golf as well as cycling - not at the same time though.
On 14th June we cycled the coast to coast route from Whitehaven to Sunderland and I would be really grateful if you could help me, and the rest of the Liverpedlians, to reach our fund raising target of £2,000 by donating to our JustGiving page
The full team that took part in the cycle ride are: Stan Byrne, Jeff Charnock, Dave Hayes, Joe Hill, Ray Hill, Terry Hill, John Parr, Liam Ryan and our driver and support team John Carter.
Thank you
Stan Byrne
