All about research
Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital is marking International Clinical Trials Day on Wednesday 20 May – on site at the hospital, on local radio and on Twitter!
All are welcome to join staff, patients, families and visitors in our main entrance between 10am - 3pm to find out more about clinical trials and the importance of research.
There will also be a live ‘tweetchat’ in partnership with the North West Coast Clinical Research Network, using the hashtag #nwresearch, with a panel of patients and research experts including our LHCH Patient Research Ambassador Keith Wilson, answering questions and providing useful information.
The tweetchat will take place at BBC Merseyside and the panel will also be interviewed by Tony Snell on the lunchtime show, from 12 noon to 1pm. Callers to the radio phone-in will be able to take part in the debate so it is not exclusive to twitter users. Listen on 95.8FM or online on the BBC website.
