LFC stars visit hospital

We were delighted to welcome Liverpool FC stars Alberto Moreno and Jose Enrique this week to visit our new Cherry Ward and chat to patients and staff.  

Professor Martin Walshaw, Respiratory Consultant, welcomed the players and talked about the care and services that LHCH provides for patients with cystic fibrosis.

While signing autographs and posing for photographs, Jose said: "It's a very humbling experience for me to come to the hospital and see the patients here. If we can give them some joy while we're here then that's great."

Alberto added: "It is fantastic to see the smiles on these kids’ faces. It's so nice to spend time here and hopefully we can brighten their day."
