About Dr Hung
Dr Hung is an interventional cardiologist specialising in complex coronary intervention and chronic total occlusion (CTO) PCI. He graduated with MBChB from the University of Liverpool, before undertaking specialist training in general cardiology and coronary intervention in Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Australia.
He is an internationally renowned educator and leader in the field of complex coronary intervention, delivering global courses, conferences and webinars. Research interests include cellular mechanisms of coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, biomarkers of heart disease and radiation safety. He is multiply published and read cardiovascular science at the University of Edinburgh during his PhD.
Personally he competes regularly in road bike racing, is an ex national karate champion and a regular at Goodison Park.
He and the complex coronary intervention team at LHCH are at the heart of education, research and innovation in cardiac intervention.
