About

Dr Modi is a UK and Canadian trained heart rhythm specialist. He undertakes all aspects of arrhythmia management from diagnosis through to management with medication or cure with catheter ablation or implantable pacemakers or defibrillators. He is one of a team of 7 electrophysiologists at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital serving Merseyside, Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales.  He has a clinic in LHCH and a satellite NHS clinic in the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Dr Modi is one of the principle Cardiologists in the regional inherited cardiac conditions clinic, specialising in cardiac channelopathies (e.g. long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, CPVT) and cardiomyopathies (e.g. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy).

He has also pioneered a revolutionary technique using intracardiac ultrasound, electro-anatomic mapping and radiofrequency energy (CARTOSOUND) to reduce heart muscle thickness in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and is an internationally leading Cardiologist practicing this technique of septal reduction.

His a keen educator and trainer, holding both regional and national roles
