Group Director of Strategy and Partnerships

Tom joined UHL Group in July 2025 in a shared role covering LUHFT, Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.

After joining The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in 2019, Tom was appointed to the Board as a non-voting member and Director of Strategy in 2020, before later joining Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in the same role in April 2024.  He provides specialist knowledge, advice and insight into key strategic decisions whilst also leading on sustainability, health inequalities and the green plan for both organisations.

Before stepping up to an executive role, Tom led the project management office and played a pivotal role in developing Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool, ensuring it was delivered on time and on budget. Prior to this, Tom has held several management roles within the NHS, including at The Christie and as a general manager in the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
