Why choose LHCH?

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital is recognised nationally as an outstanding hospital and the largest single-site specialist heart and chest centre in the UK. It delivers one of the highest volumes of adult cardiac surgery in the country with excellent outcomes, strong governance, and a culture of continuous improvement.

The hospital provides a unique environment where high-risk and complex cases are managed within a supportive team structure, ensuring both patient safety and surgical innovation. Its multidisciplinary approach, research culture, and commitment to education create the ideal setting for advancing clinical practice.

For me, LHCH has been the foundation of my training and development into independent practice. I have been able to perform a broad range of procedures including CABG, AVR, combined surgery, mitral valve repair, and reoperations.

Choosing LHCH reflects my commitment to working in an institution that values excellence, supports professional growth, and places patient outcomes at the centre of everything we do.
