Jackie Bird

Group Non Executive Director

Jackie has spent over 40 years working in the NHS. She retired from her role as Regional Chief Nurse for NHS England North West in March 2021, and prior to this held a number of senior nursing positions at acute trusts, including as Chief Nurse and Executive Director of Quality at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. She has a BSc (Hons) in Nursing Studies and an MA in Management and Leadership. Her clinical practice was in Oncology, and she was the first Nurse Director of the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cancer Network.

Jackie joined LHCH as a Non-Executive Director in April 2025 – Jackie is also a Non-Executive Director at NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group.
