About Claudio

I am originally from Puglia (a sunny region in Southern Italy). I lived in Rome for more than a decade. In 2016, I moved to the UK and I found in Liverpool my new home. I love the region and the friendly people here. I like all kinds of sports, but I have a natural inclination for water sports. I enjoy sailing and I occasionally take my 470-dinghy out for a leisurely sail in Lake Bracciano, near Rome.

Publications

I have accrued several publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and various oral presentations and talks in highly acclaimed sessions at prestigious international cardiology conferences (USA, UK, France, Italy). The main areas of my research so far include assessment of glycaemic variability by means of subcutaneous continuous glucose monitoring in patients undergoing PCI, antiplatelet therapy in diabetic patients with ischemic heart disease, post-procedural management of the radial arterial access, physics of the radial artery compression, radial artery pre-conditioning, and early detection of CI-AKI in patients undergoing PCI.
