Claudette Elliott

Non Executive Director

Claudette joined Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a Non Executive Director in March 2024.

Claudette is a highly respected public sector senior manager with over 40 years’ experience in health and social care. 

Claudette grew up in Wythenshawe Manchester. She volunteered on the wards for older people at Wythenshawe Hospital before being appointed as an auxillary nurse. 

She qualified as a social worker in 1992 and worked in various operational roles at Manchester City Council until 1999 when she became the Assistant Director for older peoples services. Claudette returned to the NHS in 2003, as the Associate Director for Access and Inclusion at Central/Manchester PCT.

She spent 4 years as the Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Chief Officer at South Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group, where she lead the development of integrated health and care teams working with primary care and mental health services. 

In 2020 she started as a management consultant, with her first assignment at King's College Hospital London, and Southeast London Integrated Care System. She spent 18 months as programme director in the Shropshire Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care System driving forward their local care programme,  working with system leaders across health and local government. 

Claudette is currently the Deputy Chair/ Non Executive Director at Pennine Care Foundation Trust where she is the Chair of the Quality Committee.  

Claudette is committed to supporting ethical and values based practice, is a compassionate leader, and feels strongly about supporting and working with staff, engaging with people using services to ensure they have a positive experiences, along with connecting with local residents and communities.
