If you would like to know more about the role please get in touch PSIRF@lhch.nhs.uk

I became an LHCH Governor in 2014 and then Senior Governor in 2017. The maximum tenure for an FT governor is 9 years, so I have to resign in September 2023. I became a governor to ‘repay’ LHCH for the care I have received since having my first (of three!) pacemakers fitted in 2003. The PSP role will now enable me to continue supporting LHCH using the knowledge I have gained as a governor.

Before taking early retirement in 2006, I worked for 40 years in primary food manufacturing, initially in R&D, then in Logistics, Commodity Trading, Procurement and Sales, latterly as Divisional Commercial Director.

Janet and I have been married for 54 years and we have two daughters, one of whom works for NHS Procurement and the other as a Senior Nurse Manager in the Western Australian Health Service.

My interests include personal fitness and lifestyle, rugby union, athletics and supporting the development of women’s sports, particularly rugby. I also enjoy Travel, Classical Music and Jazz.
