About Peter

Peter said the following on his election statement in relation to his application for the role of Public Governor-Merseyside:

"Having had major mitral valve surgery at LHCH. I am very aware of the wonderful care offered by this Hospital. I am keen to help maintain the superb service and to represent patients who come to LHCH.  I came to Merseyside in 1983 as a Consultant Neurologist. Posts held include Medical Director, Executive Director and Non-Executive Director at the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery until retirement in 2018.  I am a strong supporter of Specialist Trusts on Merseyside and wish to ensure they continue to offer outstanding service for patients. I also want to promote high quality research."
