Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy enables people to achieve health, wellbeing and life satisfaction through participation in occupation. (COT 2004).
The occupational therapy team is made up of three qualified occupational therapists and a therapy assistant. You may be seen by an occupational therapist post procedure if you are having difficulty functionally or completing daily activities on the ward; or if there are health and social needs that are preventing you from safely returning home from hospital; we aim to assist and support with planning a safe discharge home from hospital. The occupational therapy team works closely with the discharge team and medical social workers to ensure all needs are taken in to account.
Available times:
The Occupational Therapy Services are run Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:45pm
