Guide to Information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 recognises that as a member of the public, you have the right to know how public services such as the NHS are organised and run, how much they cost and how you can make complaints if you need to.  You have the right to know which services are being provided, the targets that are being set, the standard of services that are expected and the results achieved.

Under Section 19 of the Act Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital has a legal duty to adopt and maintain a Publication Scheme.  The main purpose of a Publication Scheme is to make information readily available to the public without the need for specific written requests. The Act and Publication Schemes are intended to encourage organisations to publish proactively, and to develop a greater culture of openness.

Our Publication Scheme is a guide to the information routinely published by the Trust and the Scheme is reviewed and monitored at regular intervals. Detailed above are classes of information covered by the Scheme.

Should you not be able to find the information you require please contact Information Governance by email at FOIRequests@lhch.nhs.uk or in writing to Information Governance, Health Records Department, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,
Thomas Drive, Liverpool, L14 3PE.
