Private Thoracic Surgery

We have one of the largest and busiest lung units in the country and provide complete tertiary services with respect to all types of lung surgery, with the exception of transplantations.  

Private Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery

We have an extensive history relating to the treatment of upper gastrointestinal diseases.  The Upper GI consultants from neighbouring trusts work closely with our Thoracic Surgeons who provide the ideal environment to carry out Upper GI surgery.

Private Respiratory Medicine

We provide a comprehensive service for patients with lung cancer, adult cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease and the diagnosis of sleep related respiratory disorders.

Our Private Patient Facilities 

Our private patient facilities are located on the Maple Suite (previously known as Audrey Leigh) at LHCH. Our Ward manager is Charlotte Richards. All our private rooms have en-suite facilities and are furnished to ensure your privacy and comfort with freeview TV, wi-fi internet access and a bedside telephone.

Our chef, in a dedicated kitchen within the Ward, prepares our patients’ meals and our team of hostesses provide room service throughout the day. 

We offer complimentary drinks for your relatives during Tea and coffee rounds and there is also a coffee machine in the foyer of the ward.

Your relatives are welcome to eat with you, if this is your preference.  Please note there is a charge for this service.

Please note that for Private Outpatient appointments on Maple Suite, all diagnostic tests need to be paid for by yourself or your insurance company.

Parking

The main car park is at the entrance to the hospital on the right hand side as you drive into the hospital. Please note the nearest car park to the Maple Suite is Car Park H, opposite the Admissions and Discharge Lounge, and next to Robert Owen House.

• Liverpool John Lennon Airport is seven miles south of Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital
• Manchester Airport is 32 miles south east of the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital.
