For the last six years, Liverpool Heart and
has been rated top in the country for overall patient care, as voted by you, our patients.
This is something that we, the staff, are very proud of and are striving to do further work to ensure that the experience of patients and their families exceeds their expectations. In order to achieve this, a Vision for Patient and Family Experience has been created which is split into six steps to map out your journey and that of your family / carer through the Trust. Although our approach to improving patient and family experience is innovative and unique it is entirely consistent with our desire to continuously improve.
Patient and Family Engagement Events
At LHCH, we hold several events each year where we invite you to share your experiences of your hospital visit / stay with us. From these events, we identify any themes related to a great experience and those that require further work. We also hold events to gain your feedback on different areas of improvement work that we have ongoing in the hospital. Patient and Family Stories
LHCH has an established process for listening to patient stories at various Committees to ensure that the patient is at the centre of everything we do. We have recently started collating family stories as we recognise that patients and families/Carers will have a different perspective to care that is received.
