Aortic Support Group
At Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital we understand that the patient and family experience begins before you arrive at the hospital and ends long after you have been discharged.
The LHCH Aortic Support Group provides advice, information and a helping hand through your experience as an Aortic Surgery patient or family member. This can be in the lead up to surgery and/or after discharge.
The main aim of the Group is to provide a forum for any discussion that may arise regarding aortic surgery and its rehabilitation. No two experiences will be exactly the same but with support from the group we hope your journey will be as successful as possible.
Many of our group members like to share their stories and we pleased to have available for you both an elective and emergency story:
Paul's Story

Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm (Patient & Physician) Forum
For the past two years we have held an annual Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Patient and Physician Forum.
Patients and their families are invited to attend a number of talks from our Consultants to gain a better understanding of their thoracic aortic aneurysm condition and how we treat the condition through surgery at our hospital.
For more information about the Forum please read the report from our March 2012 event.
